Aims and Objectives

Stockholm Mathematics Centre (SMC) is a collaboration between Stockholm University  (SU) and the Royal Institute of Technology  (KTH). At SMC, education and research in mathematics is coordinated between the mathematical departments at SU and KTH.

SMC's aim is to increase the attractiveness of these universities for the best students and the most outstanding teachers and researchers in subjects related to mathematics. Its objectives are to

1. lay the foundation for, and to create greater coordination between, course programmes at the advanced and graduate level,
2. build a communication platform with a focus on recruiting students at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
